shein dilemmas

 the company shein was founded in china in 2008.it recently gained popularity in 2022 and has continued to get more and more well known. they have been accused of using their workers as "slaves" and forcing them to do labor. “We are committed to respecting human rights and adhering to local laws in each market we operate in,”  said Peter pernot-day sheins head of strategy and corporate affaris. 


the house select committee on china sent a letter to shein demanding more information about their supply chain. Between June 2022 and now shein states they have done over 2,000 tests on its yarn. shein is dealing with a lot of criticism from America from the accusations of forced labor and the problem with their yarn.



forced labor is only part of the problem for shein.there are many other accusations shein is facing that is spiraling on the internet and continues to become more and more popular.

    It's crazy with how something so popular can be so controversial. You say that other than having forced labor there are many other accusations. What else is Shein doing?
